A Study on Family

September 2028 - Pine Hollow, North Carolina
Seth and Emma Lloyd are 39, Zack and Zoey are 13, Garrett and Gavin are 11

Emma’s toy store is doing great with a lot of customers coming in each day.

Her husband Seth helps her on his days off from his plumbing work.

Some people around town in Pine Hollow are a bit of a nuisance though, and cause a little mischief. And damage when they bust one of the balloon people.

But Emma enjoys running the store and she even makes a few of the toys herself.

Still, even with all the business of the store, she does more work at home with four kids to look after. Zack and Zoey are now 13 and think they’re above everyone else at times now.

Zoey doesn’t know why her mom has to be so obsessed with whether or not she’s doing her homework like she should. It doesn’t matter if she forgets sometimes!

Gavin and Garrett are 11, but even at that age they keep waking up in the middle of the night, terrified that monsters sleep under their beds.

Sometimes they run to their sister, crying for help.

Zoey is not happy to be woken up in the middle of the night.

But Gavin and Garrett both insist that something is under their beds.

Seth sprays the monsters for his sons and keeps them away.

Then he tucks them in and gets them back to sleep. Being a dad is the best part of Seth's life.

One afternoon Garrett decides to be bad just because and destroys his older brother Zack's school project.

Emma catches him, but it’s too late. The project is in pieces. She tells Garrett how wrong that is and that he should apologize to his big brother.

But when Zack sees his destroyed work he won’t accept Garrett's sweet talk. He yells back at his brother, making him cry as he runs to his room.

Emma talks with her twin sister Audrey as much as she can.

She tells Audrey about everything happening at home and Audrey tries to give some advice. She may not have been a parent as long as Emma has, but she does work as a psychologist and hopefully has a little things in mind that might work.

So Emma takes her sister's advice and has a talk with Zack. She encourages him to make amends with Garrett, but Zack just stares at his homework, still looking as mad as he was when it happened.

Being a parent has its obstacles sometimes, but Emma and Seth wouldn't change a thing about having these four kids.

Outtake:

Seth does sit ups during the work day at the toy store.

My first Sims 4 house and they were fun to play with! I didn't know the kids would destroy each other's homework on their own, lol!

  2. Welcome to Blogger and it's great to see you continuing on with your story in TS4! :)

Looks like Emma and Seth are really enjoy being parents to four kids. That certainly makes for a full household! Emma's toy store certainly looks like it is thriving and she has so much stock. How are you finding running a business in game? I haven't tried it yet but hope to soon have one of my sims start a little flower shop.

I'd love to follow your blog so that it shows up in my Blogger reading list, would you be interested in adding a following gadget?

    1. Running a business is fun, though I almost didn't notice that some of the customers were just standing there with a tag over them telling me they were ready to check out. There's a register but they didn't want to go to it and pay for their things, my Sim had to go to them? I don't understand that part, but other than that it was great. :)

I fixed the follow by email box in the right column, so you should be able to sign up there. For some reason it wasn't working right, but it should be fixed now! Thanks for reading and commenting!

    1. Thanks for reading and commenting! I tried to resist moving on to Sims 4, but I couldn't quite get into playing when I started up TS3 again. But I did miss my Sims and so I'm happy to get into their lives again! :)

  4. I didn't even know sims could destroy the school projects! Poor Zack! Garrett is a handful, to say the least.

Also, I am yet to try retail stores in TS4, so it was cool to get a little glimpse of Emma's toy shop!

    1. Ha, I didn't know about destroying school projects either! Zack was so upset about that. I don't even know why Garrett did it, I certainly didn't tell him to!

It was fun to see how the retail stores work. I'm eager to open up a few other stores and restaurants owned by my Sims.

      Thanks for reading and commenting!
