March 2033 - Del Sol Valley, California
March means that Jacob and Mia will no longer be kids. Or at least, that's what they think. They'll always be kids to their parents, no matter how old they are, but they are moving officially into their last year of preteenhood and turning twelve this rainy day.
But the rain doesn't bother the celebration inside the Lloyd house. Their family has flown across the country to celebrate this day with them. Grandpa William loves to play Don't Wake the Llama with Mia and Jacob. They're the youngest of his grandchildren and he hopes maybe they'll still play this game whenever they're visiting each other.
Time to blow out the candles so they can officially be twelve soon arrives.
It's nice having family around that they don't see often. Zoey and Mia have to stick together since they're the only girls in this group of cousins, outnumbered four to two.
But that still doesn't stop Mia from getting a little mad when Zoey beats her at the foosball table.
But the day isn't all pouting. After losing the game again, Mia turns on the stereo to dance and work out that sore loser attitude. Even Jacob joins in to celebrate their day.
But when Uncle Seth joins in, the two can't help making a face at his stiff dance moves.

No one even gave a hint that there might be something big planned for Sunny's 75th birthday. She didn't know how exciting the day would be until the doorbell rang and there was her family.
Audrey and Emma both still live only just down the street in their own homes, but Darcy is far to the north in New York and Anna is far to the west in Nevada and so Sunny doesn't get to see them more than a couple times a year.
So she loves this birthday because all of her kids and grandkids are right here for her to hug and spoil and be that mom/grandma she's always enjoyed being.
This is the perfect birthday. Her kids have brought a few different cakes because there are so many people and they want to make sure everyone gets a bite. So they choose one of them to place the candles on and Sunny grins as she gets ready to make a wish for her future birthdays to be just like this one.
And even though her daughters insist she sit down and relax today, Sunny is determined to still take care of everything like she always has. She doesn't even mind cleaning up all the dishes because having so many means that her family really is here today.

Britechester, Illinois
Caleb and Emily are back at Britechester for another semester before the baby comes. What will happen after the baby is here they aren't sure about, but for now they've decided that they'll try to enjoy college life like everyone else. But the dorms won't let Emily live there now, and so they rent a small house along with Olivia.
It's nice having this house all to themselves. It's like they're all grown up and ready to do everything their adult selves need to do. And one of those things is practicing playing with the toys they've started to buy in preparation for the baby.
At least, that's what Caleb tells Emily he's doing when she catches him playing with a little truck. Practicing to be a dad, not just playing around because he hasn't played with a truck in more than a decade and he forgot how much fun it can be.
But Emily is easy to distract from his childish moments by offering her a deep shoulder massage. Entering into her seventh month, Emily will take any chance at a massage she gets.
Not much longer now before college life completely changes for the two of them. Maybe he should play around with the truck some more when Emily takes a nap, Caleb thinks. To practice and get ready for playing with the truck with the baby. Yeah, that works for his excuse if Emily or Olivia catch him again.

Sunny has four daughters and four sons-in-law, and 11 grandchildren. You can see her branch of the Gates family tree here, though this was taken before her grandson Dylan was born. So far she has the largest amount of descendants of any of my Generation 2 Sims and she's quite happy about it!
So you can see that Caleb and Emily did go back to college, for now anyway. We'll see if they make it through the next few years after the baby is born! But they are renting a house along with Caleb's sister Olivia and so you'll see how that's working out for them in the update for this household.
Wow, do you think Sunny will have any more grandkids or are all her daughters done now? I love big sim families so much!
ReplyDeleteMia turned out so cute. I really like her face!
I think all of Sunny’s daughters are done adding to their families now. She has grandkids about to graduate high school and turn into young adults, so it may not be too much longer before the next generation comes around! :)
