"You're celebrating your last year in your thirties," Xander Gates tells his wife. "We should have a big party just for you."

"We didn't have a big party when you turned thirty-nine," Chelsea points out.

Xander shrugs. "You're more important than I am."

"You think if you're sweet I won't think this party is bigger than it should be," Chelsea says, giving him a smirk.

"How am I doing?" Xander asks.

The party was more than Chelsea really cared to have for herself. The kids' birthdays were more important than hers.

But the party at least did bring Kat home for the weekend. She's happy to take any time she can away from college.

"How are you doing out there?" Chelsea asks. "Are you okay at the dorm? Do you need anything? Do you get enough to eat?"

"I'm fine, Mom," Kat tells her. "I am a big girl now. You don't have to worry so much."

Olivia is sitting only a few steps away and has heard their conversation. "She'll never stop worrying, no matter how old you are," she chimes in.

"I'm a mom," Chelsea tells her daughters. "I have that right."

The party brings in a few people, including cousins who managed to take time away from everything else in their lives. Xander's cousin Todd comes to the party, taking a break from all the farm work at home. Xander had wanted to invite family over, and he had wondered if inviting his cousin Nathan was right. Nathan was Kat's dad and it had been so long ago since the heartbreak Chelsea had had with him. But Xander decided not to risk it and kept his invite list low.

Caleb can't help noticing the hot woman who came from the party planning committee to play music for them.

And there are all the other hot women who joined the party too.

Really hot.

"I see you looking at everyone," Olivia says to her brother with a smirk when he comes to get cake. "Should I tell Emily about it?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," Caleb shoots back. "I'm only looking at cake."

When he's finished the cake, Caleb still has to find a way to keep his gaze on something other than those women. He doesn't want Olivia to say anything to Emily about where he's been looking.

And so he visits the drink bar that is set up in the living room. "I'll have a margarita," he says.

The guy looks him up and down. "I'll need to see some ID."

The last thing Caleb wants is to show the guy his driver's license and show that he's not old enough for a drink. So instead he orders root beer.

But still, Chelsea comes over, staring hard at his glass. "What exactly are you drinking?"

"Root beer," he says. He points at the bartender. "Ask him."

Chelsea huffs, but goes on to talk to her guests. Caleb takes another look around the room and then drinks quickly, digging into his pocket with the other hand in search of his phone. He has to talk to Emily before he looks at all these women again and gives Olivia more rumors to make up about him.
