Audrey meets up with Emma with a big hug. "Happy birthday," Audrey tells her.
"And happy birthday to you too," Emma says. She loves having a twin she can celebrate her birthday with.
They're turning forty, and their husbands had said they could have a big party to celebrate. But Audrey and Emma decided all they really wanted was a night out together like they were still teenagers and could hang out somewhere.
And so they chose to hang out at the mall. Just like they would have when they were sixteen.
"I think your boys would like this one," Audrey says.
"We don't have to shop for our kids," Emma tells her. "It's our birthday."
"Yeah, but I'm used to shopping for the kids," Audrey says with a laugh.
They stop at one of the restaurants to have a little birthday dinner together. The restaurant is trying out a robotic chef and Emma and Audrey aren't sure what they think about that. The food is okay, but nothing better than what an actual person can cook.
They enjoy more of the night out together until at last, the late hour of 10:00pm arrives and the mall begins to shut down and Emma and Audrey feel like they've been out all night long. It's time to head home. They aren't used to being out on late nights like this anymore.
But they wouldn't trade this night for anything else. A big party couldn't have celebrated their fortieth birthday anymore than they have tonight.
"Happy birthday," Emma whispers in Audrey’s ear as they exchange a tight hug good-bye.
"Happy birthday to you too," Audrey whispers back.

Sarah Menon wakes one morning to find her husband Jason in the kitchen making breakfast.
“What are you doing up so early?” she asks.
“Making breakfast for us,” Jason says. “Like I always do.”
“But it’s your birthday. I should be making breakfast for you.”
Jason shakes his head. “We shouldn’t be doing anything out of the ordinary. My birthday present is another day with you.”
And so the day is quiet. Sarah doesn’t go into town to open her toy store that day, instead she stays at home with the man she loves.
“You’re another year closer to old age like me,” Sarah says with a laugh.
“You’re never old,” Jason says. “You’re young and still have a long life ahead of you.”
Sarah laughs. “Being that it’s your birthday and I should be making you happy, you certainly are doing your work making me happy.”
“You always make me happy,” Jason tells her, leaning in for a birthday kiss.

I wanted to give a glimpse at Jason and Sarah Menon, who haven’t yet appeared in any posts! They live in Brindleton Bay, Connecticut.
It's the fortieth birthday for several of my favorite Sims, so I had to celebrate at least one. Emma and Audrey are perfect for a night out to relax and try to relive those teen and college years.
Kylo Ren also went out for a night at the mall.
Aawww, it's really nice to see Audrey and Emma celebrating their birthday at this age. Audrey came from a long way since then. It's also really sweet to see Sarah enjoying her older years too!

Aw, I still remember when Audrey and Emma were teens! I have such a soft spot for them and their sisters!
