Here Comes Santa Claus

December 2029 - Pine Hollow, North Carolina
Sutton family - Sinjin is 50, Audrey is 40, Beatrice is 7, Evelyn is 2 months

Beatrice is working on the perfect Christmas presents for her parents.

It’s not from a store, but she thinks these are the best presents she’s ever given them!

A little more glue and glitter…

Soon both gifts are ready to be wrapped and kept secret until Christmas morning.

The family decorates their Christmas tree together, which they all love to do.

Evelyn is still too young, so she’s in her bassinet taking a nap while Beatrice works with her parents to make the tree the best one yet.

The tree along with the decorations hanging from the windows and the lights outside are making it really feel like Christmas is coming very soon.

Evelyn loves cuddling with her daddy.

And he loves cuddling with her. He feels too old to have a baby again a lot of times, but he still wouldn't give up holding a baby once again.

Beatrice looks forward to seeing her baby sister when she gets home from school. She can’t wait until Evelyn is big enough to play with.

Audrey goes out to eat at The Willow with her mom one night.

It’s hard to find time to relax with a child and a baby in the house, but Sinjin says he’ll take over parenting by himself so Audrey can get a break.

“Thanks, Mom,” Audrey says. “I could really use a night out, for just an hour or so. It gets a bit overwhelming at times, being a mom. You know that yourself.”

Sunny smiles. “I do, but I wouldn’t change any of the time I’ve had with my girls.”

“I don’t know how you did it. Two girls are hard enough. I don’t know how you managed to raise four without having a breakdown at times.”

“I don’t even know how you raised four kids on your own after Dad died,” Audrey says.

“It was hard at first,” Sunny admits, “but then I turned my focus to my girls and everything came back together. And you have to focus on each child individually.”

Audrey sighs. “It sounds hard sometimes. I’m not sure if I’m doing things right in balancing between work and the kids and Sinjin. I’m going to mess up somewhere. I’m forty years old. Sometimes I feel too old for another baby!”

Sunny smiles confidently at her daughter. “I know you can do it and be the best momma and wife in that house!”

Being a mom and having a career certainly keep Audrey busy. During college, when she had to battle an alcohol addiction, she never imagined this life she has now.

And she worries that Beatrice feels a bit overlooked now with the addition of baby Evelyn. So Audrey makes sure to help Beatrice build a snowman in their front yard one afternoon.

The snow is coming down heavy, turning the world around them into a thick blanket of white. They finish up a snowman who looks like a very distinguished member of the snow world. Audrey goes inside to make some hog chocolate while Beatrice admires her best snowman ever!

It’s Christmas Eve and Santa Claus stops by to bring some presents. Beatrice is excited to see him!

He gives her a gift she can’t wait to play with.

He even gives Sinjin and Audrey gifts too.

Christmas morning means Beatrice gets more gifts to open and enjoy. This is definitely her favorite time of year.

And she’s excited when her parents open the gifts she made for them.

Audrey and Sinjin love Beatrice’s artwork so much that they hang it on the wall so everyone can see and enjoy.

Beatrice just loves Christmas so much. It’s fun making gifts for her parents and she’s always excited to see what they’re giving her.

Sinjin isn’t sure what to think about the gift Santa brought him. Why couldn’t he have gotten something he could actually use around the house?

The story about Audrey’s father’s death took place in my Sims 2 version of this world and can be read here.

Ha, apparently Sinjin was on Santa’s naughty list and got a future cube as his gift! I don’t know what he might have done to cause this.

  1. Sunny is such a pretty elder! And she's such a nice, supportive mum too, even now that her daughters are all grown. They were always one of my favourite families of yours.

Beatrice is just the cutest - hanging up her Christmas decorations was such a good idea!

    1. This family is one of my favorites! I love seeing how the girls' are going on in their lives and how their kids are growing. And Sunny did a great job being that parent her children needed after their dad was gone.
