University students: Baine Austin is 22, Yori Hayashi is 21, Violet Craig is 20, Kat Gates is 20

“Can I ask for some advice?” Baine sits at the table across from Kat one morning.

Kat is working one of her assignments from her Genetics and Generations class, but she looks at him with hesitation. Things had been okay between them since last semester, when Baine seemingly became friends with Yori. She still couldn’t believe that had actually happened.

“What is it?” Kat asks, trying not to sound suspicious.

“I’m thinking of proposing to Violet.”

Those were probably the last words she expected to hear. Kat coughs a bit to clear her throat and then asks, “Are you sure?”

Baine nods. “I think so. What do you think? How should I do it?”

Kat takes a deep breath as she tries to figure out how to answer his questions. “It really depends on you. Are you sure this is what you want? How do you think you’ll feel comfortable? Do you know this is what she wants?”

Baine gives her a bit of a scowl. “You’re not exactly a lot of help,” he says as Yori sits down with them. Violet comes into the room, so Baine gets up to go with her.

“What was that about?” Yori asks when Baine and Violet are gone.

“A big question he has that I’m pretty sure I know how Violet will respond,” Kat tells him.

But Kat soon finds out that she doesn’t know how Violet has responded or even if she has responded. Has Baine asked the question yet? Has he changed his mind?

Kat wants to know, but she won’t say anything in case she ruins Baine’s plans for the proposal. For now she’ll just put up with Violet’s temper each day like she already does. Kat has to wonder if Baine really will be able to put up with that the rest of their lives.

Baine hasn’t asked yet, but he already has his plans figured out and knows what he hopes for.

Everyone did great and passed their classes.

I had planned to add Lily’s updates from Windenburg in this post but I have no pictures of her fall semester. I don’t know why, but I also don’t remember much happening. I don’t even have a picture of her grades! I do know however that she did well and passed this semester.
